Dominick Di Lorenzo was born May 27, 1947 in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, to a family of craftsmen and artisans.   His career began freelancing graphic design in Manhattan studios and eventually became an art teacher for 31 years before retiring in 2002.  Dominick's paintings and sculptures have been showing in New York galleries for three decades.

The idea of sculpting always appealed to him, constructing a balance of positive and negative space transitioning from representational to abstraction.  His sculpting materials vary from wood, copper and welded steel creating the human figure, wildlife and natural forms.

Dominick lives in Orient, New York, with his artist wife, Laura Westlake.
